This all-in-one welding and grinding head protection kit combines the ESAB G50 Air flip-front welding helmet with the clean-air protection of the first-generation ESAB Air PAPR unit.
Designed for welding, grinding and fabrication environments where welding fume and dust exposure is a concern, this kit provides TH3-level respiratory protection when used as the complete ESAB G50 Air + ESAB PAPR system, with P3 particulate filtration and a practical flip-up visor design.
The G50 Air is a combined welding and grinding helmet fitted with an ADF auto-darkening filter, shade range DIN 9–13, and a flip-up front section. When the welding visor is lifted, the large clear inner grinding visor gives the wearer an unobstructed field of view for grinding, inspection and set-up work. ESAB describes the G50/G50 Air as suitable for processes including MIG/MAG, TIG, MMA/stick, grinding, oxy-fuel cutting and plasma cutting.
The ESAB PAPR unit features adjustable airflow from 170–220 L/min, a P3 filter and pre-filter, Li-ion battery, charger, airflow hose, waist belt, and audio/visual alarms for blocked filter or low battery. ESAB’s PAPR fact sheet lists the G50 Air among the compatible TH3 headtops for this PAPR system.

Compliance Note
The TH rating applies to the complete helmet-and-PAPR system, not to the filter alone. The ESAB PAPR documentation lists the G50 Air as a TH3 headtop when used with the ESAB Air PAPR unit. The P3 filter relates to particulate filtration efficiency, while the TH3 classification relates to the complete powered-air helmet system’s inward-leakage performance.
