The ESAB Sentinel A60 Air welding helmet paired with the EPR-X1.1 PAPR is certified to EN 12941:2023 class TH3 P — the highest assigned protection class for loose-fitting powered air-purifying respirators. ESAB’s own EPR-X1.1 fact sheet lists the Sentinel A60 in its compatible-helmets list at this TH3 P rating.

The EPR-X1.1 Li-ion battery delivers up to 10 hours of runtime at the lowest 170 L/min airflow setting. Runtime is shorter at the higher airflow settings of 190 or 210 L/min, and as the P3 filter and pre-filter become loaded with welding particulate during use. The PAPR provides audio, visual and vibration alarms when battery is low or airflow drops below the safe threshold.
