Filters   

• Made using nanofiber material and activated carbon, Airhead Filters have 5 layers, engineered to provide effective filtration with the lowest possible breathing resistance.

• The filters are capable of filtering particulate matter down to PM0.3, which is significantly smaller than typical dust, soot, smoke and respiratory droplets from sneezing. Filtration also includes larger PM2.5 and PM10 molecules, commonly present in urban pollution. The filters have been designed in line with requirements set by the EN149:2001 ISO Standards, and demonstrate filtration efficiency of >99%. However, it’s important to note that our mask is not a medical device and not yet certified or approved to this standard, so is intended for leisure use only

How long do the filters last?

If you’re wearing the Airhead mask when cycling or running, we’d recommend replacing the filter after approximately 30 hours of use. If you’re wearing it when walking or taking public transport, we’d suggest changing it after around 60 hours of use.

If you’re wearing the mask and you suspect it may have been exposed to infectious particles, we would recommend that the filter is disposed of between uses and that you clean the mask thoroughly.

Size Guide

• Airhead have designed their mask to fit as many face shapes and sizes as possible, and for the vast majority of people, the design will provide an airtight and comfortable fit, however it is not suitable for everyone.

• If you have any concerns, please measure the vertical distance between your lower eyelid and the bottom of your chin to check whether it will fit you. This mask will fit people that fall within this range: 10cm to 12.5cm
