A2P3 is a combination filter classification. The “A2” provides Class 2 protection against organic vapours and gases with a boiling point above 65°C (such as solvents, paints, adhesives, and pesticides) at concentrations up to 5000 ppm – significantly higher than Class 1 filters. The “P3” rating means it filters 99.95% of all airborne particles including dust, mist, fumes, and micro-organisms. This makes it perfect for spray painting, pesticide spraying, solvent work, and agricultural applications where higher concentrations of organic vapours may be encountered.

The P3 particulate component typically lasts 6 months with normal use, or until breathing becomes noticeably difficult. The A2 gas cartridge should be replaced when you detect any odour, taste, or irritation through the mask, or after approximately 6 months of use, whichever comes first. At 5000 ppm concentration, the A2 filter provides over 70 minutes of protection. Always replace both filters simultaneously and record the installation date. Never reuse filters after exposure to high contaminant concentrations.

A2P3 filters provide Class 2 protection specifically against organic vapours (up to 5000 ppm concentration – ideal for painting, solvents, and pesticides). ABEK1P3 filters provide Class 1 multi-gas protection (up to 1000 ppm) against organic vapours (A), inorganic gases (B), acid gases (E), and ammonia (K). Choose ABEK1P3 when you need protection against multiple types of gases in industrial or chemical environments.

The GVS Elipse Full Face mask features a universal one-size-fits-all design with an adjustable silicone harness system. To ensure proper fit: loosen all straps, place the mask on your face, tighten the lower straps first, then the upper straps. Perform a seal check by covering the filters and inhaling gently – the mask should pull against your face with no air leaking in. The soft medical-grade TPE seal provides comfort for extended wear. Note: facial hair (beards, stubble) may prevent an adequate seal.
