Yes, the 3M Speedglas 9100 Air with Adflo is compatible with most arc welding processes including MIG, TIG, MMA (stick), plasma cutting, and grinding. The variable shade range (5, 8, 9-13) covers the majority of welding applications. Simply select the appropriate shade setting for your specific welding process and amperage.

The Adflo respirator’s rechargeable battery typically provides a full shift of protection (approximately 8 hours) on a single charge under normal working conditions. The system features audible and visual low-battery alarms to alert you well in advance. A heavy-duty battery option is also available separately for extended runtime.

The standard Adflo respirator provides excellent protection against welding fumes and particles using its high-efficiency particulate filter. Yes, the 9100 Air helmet is compatible with 3M PELTOR welding earmuffs (model H505B, sold separately) for integrated hearing protection. The helmet’s spacious interior and adjustable headband (fits head sizes 50-64cm) accommodate most prescription glasses comfortably. The Adflo system also works well with spectacles due to its non-face-sealing design and continuous air flow which helps prevent fogging.
