3M 7502 Half Mask Reusable Respirator (Medium)
The 3M 7502 is the medium-size mask in the 3M™ 7500 Series of reusable half mask respirators. Built around a soft, low-profile silicone facepiece, it delivers a secure and comfortable seal during extended wear and pairs with the full range of 3M™ bayonet-fit filters and cartridges to guard against particulates, gases and vapours. It is a popular choice for spray painting, woodworking, sanding, surface preparation and asbestos work when fitted with the appropriate 3M filters.

Silicone face moulding is soft, comfortable and provides a good seal. The exhalation valve is extremely effective and well positioned, consequently very little moisture is retained inside the mask (unlike my previous Moldex mask which constantly needed swabbing out). The rigid plastic frame which houses the valves and clips onto the silicone face moulding is also well designed. There are no strengthening ribs moulded inside the mask (unlike the Moldex) so the surface is easy to clean and if a small amount of exhaled moisture is retained inside the mask it is easy to wipe away. The head cradle is comfy and I like the method of retaining the elastic straps. If the elastic is threaded behind the centre clip the elastic stays in place and doesn’t work through the clips and get longer every time you remove/replace the mask. Conversely, if the straps are not threaded behind the centre clips, it is easy to slide the mask down the straps and away from the face should you prefer to do this. The mask is very easy to break down into its seperate parts (plastic frame and silicone face moulding) giving easy access to the valve rubbers for cleaning and maintenance. In short, it works well and is good value for money with many excellent design features.
